History
OPA was organized by interested personnel in April, 1980. Board Members and elected officers met in June, 1980 and drew up the Bylaws. Charter members were the administrative support staff of the Arkansas Department of Health. It is hoped that through this organization, the administrative support staff will acquire professional status by their performance and dedication.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of OPA shall be:
- To unite persons engaged in office procedures toward a common goal.
- To develop, promote, and communicate the principles and techniques of professional office personnel.
- To further the profession of records keeping by promoting higher standards for employment, better understanding of the profession and higher compensation.
